If one is suffering from losses, in business or investments or when one is getting married, or to remove obstacles or for celebration of your or your child’s birthday, the Ganpati homa is recommended. Ganapati or the Lord Ganesh, the elephant faced God, represents the power of the Supreme Being that removes obstacles and ensures success in human endeavors. Ganesha is revered as the son of the Shiva and Parvati, and is always honored first worship services. He is worshipped for Siddhi, success in undertakings, and Buddhi, intelligence. He is worshipped before any new Project is started. He is also the God of knowledge and wisdom, literature, and the fine arts. Ganesha is also one of the five Gods whose worship was popularised by Adi Shankaracharya. The other four gods are Vishnu, Shiva, Devi and Surya. The worship of these five deities is called the Panchayatana Puja. In some cases, a sixth God, Skanda is also worshipped. Performing the Ganapati Homa once every year gives prosperity, wealth and health. If any one is having Ketu dosha or there is some dosha of Ketu in the horoscope, then he should perform Ganapati Homa and get relief. Ganapati Homa should be performed in the early morning and Poornahuti should be offered during sunrise, unless any other time is specifically mentioned to suit the particular purpose. Normally, only Vedic way of Homas are performed. We offer this Puja on behalf of the person as per the requirement.
